The August 19, 2024, episode of WWE Raw will emanate live from the Amerant Bank Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After putting on an entertaining show last week, WWE will aim to continue the momentum heading towards the upcoming Bash in Berlin PLE.

WWE has announced four matches for the show as of now:

  1. Odyssey Jones & The New Day Vs. The Final Testament
  2. The Unholy Union (C) vs. Damage CTRL vs. The Pure Fusion Collective – Triple Threat Tag Team Match For The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
  3. Sheamus vs. Pete Dunne
  4. Ivy Nile vs. Maxxine Dupri

Apart from the matches, WWE will also look to add more build-up to the heated rivalries. With that said, let’s look at what to expect from this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

#10 Bronson Reed’s Next Victim?

After taking out Seth Rollins on the August 5, 2024, episode of WWE Raw, Big Bronson Reed continued to find more victims last week. Despite picking up the win in their match, Reed tried to make an example out of The Miz, but the R-Truth, the latter’s tag team partner, sacrificed himself and endured a gruesome beatdown at the hands of the monstrous Bronson Reed.

Bronson Reed has been getting on the nerves of Raw General Manager Adam Pearce for two consecutive weeks, and fans could witness the latter either put his feet down and put Bronson Reed in his place or give in to his demands.

#9 Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Last week’s episode of WWE Raw saw a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship No.1 contender’s match between Damage CTRL and the Pure Fusion Collective.

However, the match ended in a no-contest after champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn took down both teams. Due to their interruption, they will now put their titles on the line against Damage CTRL and the Pure Fusion Collective in a triple-threat tag team match.

#8 American Made Could Continue Their Feud With Alpha Academy

After falling out with his former Alpha Academy partners and multiple failed attempts to reconcile with them, Chad Gable found new comrades in The Creed Brothers & Ivy Nile to form The American Made faction.

Despite losing against The Wyatt Sicks in their first match as a team, American Made scored the victory over Gable’s former partners Otis & Akira Tozawa in a Texas Tornado Tag Team match on last week’s WWE Raw.

However, the victory wasn’t without controversy as Ivy Nile, who showed herself as a babyface earlier during the show, turned heel and attacked Maxxine Dupri to help Gable and The Creed Brothers score the win.

Ivy Nile and Maxxine Dupri will compete in a one-on-one match on Raw, and WWE might use this match to continue the feud between both factions and have one last match at a PLE, possibly at Bash in Berlin.

#7 The Judgment Day Could Outsmart The Terror Twins

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest continued to target their former Judgment Day partners last week on WWE Raw. They chased around “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan all over the arena and got their hands on Carlito and JD McDonoagh, with Finn Balor being the only one to escape their wrath.

Following the segments, WWE announced a mixed tag team match for Bash in Berlin, with Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio taking on Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest.

WWE will look to add more hype to the match, but seeing how Ripley and Priest got the upper hand over The Judgment Day the past two weeks, they might get outsmarted and suffer a beatdown at the hands of their old partners this week.

#6 The End Of The New Day?

WWE has been teasing a potential implosion of The New Day ever since they entered a rivalry with Karrion Kross’ Final Testament faction. The introduction of Odyssey Jones into the storyline has made things worse, as Xavier Woods doesn’t seem content with Kofi Kingston making decisions on his own.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will team up with Odyssey Jones to take on Karrion Kross and The AOP on Raw, and this could be the instance Woods finally snaps and turns heel on his long-time partner Kofi Kingston to end The New Day.

#5 The Wyatt Sicks’ Next Target

After winning their debut match against American Made, The Wyatt Sicks didn’t appear on last week’s WWE Raw. However, WWE aired another Uncle Howdy video package showing Bo Dallas saying everything is coming full circle and the work must continue.

With Bray Wyatt’s first death anniversary coming up on Saturday, August 24, WWE would look to do something meaningful with The Wyatt Sicks and place them in their next storyline with a suitable superstar.

#4 Are CM Punk & Drew McIntyre Heading Toward a Potential Strap Match At Bash In Berlin?

Despite his victory against CM Punk at SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre seems content to make things personal with the Straight Edge Superstar. He paid the price for his deeds last week when Punk lashed out a vicious attack and left him with bruises by whipping him with a leather belt.

It led to speculations that WWE could be looking to book a strap match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin, and the fans could see the company make the match official this week.

#3 Pete Dunne vs. Sheamus

After witnessing some tension between Sheamus and Pete Dunne since the former’s return, the fans witnessed Dunne turn heel against his former mentor in late July.

Last week’s episode of WWE Raw showcased another chapter in their rivalry as Pete Dunne laid out a vicious attack on Sheamus with a shillelagh during a backstage segment.

WWE booked a one-on-one match between the two superstars on this week’s Raw, and the fans can expect another banger from Sheamus as he takes on his former protege in a grudge match.

#2 Will Sami Zayn & Jey Uso Challenge The Judgment Day For The World Tag Team Championship?

Sami Zayn failed in his attempt to regain the Intercontinental Championship on last week’s episode of Raw when he lost the 3-out-of-2-falls match against Bron Breakker 1-2.

With the loss, Zayn had to go to the back of the line in the Intercontinental Championship picture, but Jey Uso’s proposition can put him in contention for another championship.

Jey Uso wanted to team with Sami Zayn to challenge The Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championship, and while Zayn’s expressions showed he wasn’t too keen on the idea, the fans might witness the two superstars lay out the official challenge on this week’s Raw.

With Roman Reigns’ current storyline against Solo Sikoa and The New Bloodline, WWE will inevitably look to involve Jey Uso and Sami Zayn in the storyline, and the company could use this team-up to lead them to a potential reunion with The Original Tribal Chief.

#1 Gunther’s Response To The RKO

When Randy Orton stepped up to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship on the August 5, 2024, episode of Raw, the latter warned Orton that nothing could catch him out of nowhere.

But The Legend Killer proved Gunther wrong just one week later when he hit the World Heavyweight Champion with an RKO out of nowhere.

The Ring General would look to give Orton a suitable reply on this week’s episode of Raw, and fans would love to see another face-to-face confrontation between the champion and the challenger.
