Hall of Fame is a very relatable word in professional wrestling, as promotions like WWE and TNA have their own HOFs to honor the legends of the industry.

During an interview with ComicBook Nation, AEW President Tony Khan talked about the possibilities of introducing a Hall of Fame for All Elite Wrestling. He admitted that AEW is still a young company to consider introducing a Hall of Fame but shared some insights on who would be the first inductees.

“The first two people that come to mind I think we would have to honor would be Sting and Mr. Brodie Lee,” Khan said. “Two of the greatest champions and two of the greatest people we’ve ever had in AEW. Very different circumstances, but I think those would be the first two people that come to my mind.”

He also stated that a potential AEW Hall of Fame would also include a Ring of Honor legend.

“Somebody that never got to wrestle in AEW that I also feel very strongly about who needs to be talked about and honored is Jay Briscoe.”

While Khan might be right about being too early to introduce an AEW Hall of Fame, he had some fine choices for the first inductees. AEW has been producing extraordinary wrestling content since its inception in 2019, but the company has a long way to go before it launches its own Hall of Fame.
