The March 25, 2024, episode of Monday Night Raw has earned the fans’ admiration for being the best WWE weekly episode in recent memory. One of the highlights of the show was the unscripted promo segment between CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
WWE reportedly gave the superstars the liberty to do what they wanted during the segment, and they delivered big time.
All three superstars had their moment to shine during the segment, and CM Punk eventually emerged as the winner after he left Drew McIntyre speechless for a moment.
During the segment, Drew McIntyre looked to remind everyone why he’s the “Chosen One,” but he inadvertently allowed Punk to get the upper hand.
Punk responded to McIntyre’s statement by saying:
Chosen One? Who chose you? Who? What was his name? Huh? You got the balls to say you’re the Chosen One, tell me, What paragon of good virtue chose you?

Punk cleverly referred to former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who gave McIntyre the “Chosen One” moniker. Vince McMahon left WWE and the TKO board after finding himself under a federal probe for allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault.
WWE stopped mentioning McMahon’s name on television after the controversy, which is why McIntyre was left speechless after Punk’s unexpected reference.
According to PWInsider Elite, there was a hush backstage after Punk made the reference, but after a moment of shock, people went back to normal, and Punk didn’t get any backstage heat over the segment.
