During his latest appearance on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, WWE’s Kevin Owens revealed why he doesn’t want to win the Intercontinental Championship again.
Owens has been with WWE since 2014 and is a former 1-time NXT Champion, 1-time Universal Champion, 3-time United States Champion, 1-time Undisputed Tag Team Champion, and a 2-time Intercontinental Champion.
The WWE Intercontinental Championship is one of the most prestigious championships in the entire professional wrestling industry and has a profound history. However, Owens has a compelling reason behind his decision to never hold the title again for a third time.
What’s The Reason?
Kevin Owens made himself available for a Fanatics live auction on the UpUpDownDown channel and signed some memorabilia. When he came across the replica of the classic Intercontinental Championship, Owens revealed that he has the same combined days (132 days) with the title as his idol, Owen Hart.
Owens stated that he intends to keep it that way, and that’s the reason why he never wants to hold the championship again.
“This is the main event, it’s the replica championship of the Intercontinental Title I held for the exact same amount of days as Owen Hart. We both had two title runs, they total the exact same amount of days. So I technically don’t ever wanna win this again because I like that.”

Kevin Owens idolized Owen Hart during his childhood and claimed the late legend had a positive influence on his life and career.
“The Prizefighter” named his son Owen in honor of his childhood hero and took the name Kevin Owens after signing with WWE, dedicating it to both his son and Owen Hart.
What’s Next For Kevin Owens?
While he made his intentions clear about the Intercontinental Championship, Kevin Owens has his sights set on Logan Paul and The United States Championship at WrestleMania XL.
He and Randy Orton will challenge Logan Paul for the title in a triple-threat match at WrestleMania, and it will be interesting to see if “The Prizefighter” will walk out of the event with his fourth United States Championship.
