Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal posted a tweet on X to announce that he has officially parted ways with WWE.

However, despite Mahal announcing that he quit WWE, Fightful Select reported that the company released him from his contract.

Jinder Mahal first signed with WWE in 2010 and was part of the company until 2014, when he was known for working with Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater in the 3MB faction. He was released in 2014 but reinvented himself on the independent circuit and got in the best shape of his life before returning to WWE in 2016.

Following his return WWE shockingly elevated him to the main event picture and gave him a 170-day run with the WWE Championship. However, apart from a run with the United States Championship, Jinder Mahal’s career didn’t pick up steam after the end of his WWE title run and floundered on the lower cards until his release.

Along With Jinder Mahal, WWE Released 4 Other Talents

Jinder Mahal, Veere Mahaan and Sanga

Along with Jinder Mahal, WWE released his Indus Sher partners Veer Mahaan and Sanga and also released Xia Li and Xyon Quinn.

WWE once considered Veer Mahaan for a singles push but backed out of the idea and paired him up with Sanga. The duo joined forces with Jinder Mahal on the main roster but were not able to establish themselves as a legitimate faction.

Xia Li WWE

Xia Li was WWE’s first Chinese superstar who made her debut for the company in the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017. Following a stint in NXT, WWE called her up to the main roster as part of the 2021 Draft but used her only on dark matches and live events without giving her much exposure on television.

Apart from a brief feud with Becky Lynch and a couple of NXT Women’s Championship matches against Lyra Valkyria, Xia Li didn’t make an impact in WWE.

Xyon Quinn WWE

Xyonn Quinn’s WWE career started in 2018 and had a decent run in NXT until 2023. However, he only competed in two matches on the main roster following his call-up in April 2023. His last match was against Bron Breakker on the March 1, 2024, episode of SmackDown.
