Following her defeat against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40, reports stated that former women’s champion Becky Lynch would take a brief hiatus from WWE. However, she proved those reports wrong and returned to in-ring action during WWE’s live events in the UK on April 17 and 18.

With Rhea Ripley having to relinquish the Women’s World Championship due to an injury sustained during an altercation with Liv Morgan, WWE has announced a Battle Royal on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw to crown a new champion.

WWE promoted the match during this week’s episode of SmackDown and revealed Becky Lynch as one of the contenders, which confirms her return to WWE television.

Lynch challenged Ripley for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40 but couldn’t get the job done. She now has the opportunity to redeem herself and win her eighth women’s title in WWE.

WWE also advertised Xia Li for the battle royal, but in a shocking turn of events, WWE released her from her contract along with other superstars like Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan, Sanga, and Xyon Quinn.

Becky Lynch Recently Revealed That Her Husband Seth Rollins Underwent Knee Surgery

While Becky Lynch is all set to return to WWE television, her husband and former World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, might need a few months, as Lynch revealed during a recent interview that Rollins underwent knee surgery.

Lynch revealed that Seth Rollins suffered a tear in his meniscus a little while before WrestleMania 40 and that he underwent surgery last Tuesday.

Becky Lynch’s revelation confirms that Seth Rollins worked both nights of WrestleMania 40 with an injury, which proves “The Visionary” is worth all the praises he’s been receiving from his fans and colleagues alike.

What To Expect On Next Week’s Raw?

Whoever WWE chooses to win the Women’s World Championship Battle Royal next week on Raw has big shoes to fill as Rhea Ripley dominated the entire women’s division with her 380-day reign.

If we have to predict, Liv Morgan, who put Ripley on the shelf, could be the favorite to win the match, but WWE could pull off a surprise and choose a different winner.

With WWE teasing Uncle Howdy’s return in the past weeks, wrestling fans are expecting Alexa Bliss to return for the Battle Royal. But WWE might not pull the trigger on her return too soon.

Along with the Women’s World Championship Battle Royal, Awesome Truth will defend the World Tag Team Championships against DIY on next week’s Raw.

We will also witness the fallout of Chad Gable’s heel turn and his attack on Sami Zayn and also find out if he’ll form the rumored heel faction with The Creed Brothers.
