It’s been nine months since former 14-time women’s champion Charlotte Flair stepped inside a WWE ring to compete. She sustained a torn ACL, MCL, and Meniscus during her match against Asuka on the December 8, 2023, episode of SmackDown and underwent surgery to repair the damage.
While early reports stated that she would stay out of action for about nine months, Fightful Select’s latest report claims Flair is still not cleared to compete.
When Will Charlotte Flair Return To WWE?
While Charlotte Flair stated back in February that she was ahead of schedule to return while appearing on CNBC Power Lunch, Fightful’s report claims WWE believes there is still more time for her to return to the ring.
The report also stated that a WWE source mentioned that until Flair gets cleared, there are no plans for WWE to put creative in place for her return.
The injury resulted in Flair missing out on WrestleMania 40 and a chance at winning her 15th main roster singles championship. Despite her already having 16 women’s titles to her name, WWE doesn’t recognize her 2 NXT Women’s Championship reigns in the total tally. She has to win two more main roster women’s titles to equal her father’s 16 world championship record.

WWE has the perfect opponents lining up to face her once Flair eventually returns to the ring, and fans are especially excited to see Flair compete against the 2024 Miss MITB Tiffany Stratton.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm back in April, Tiffany Stratton has already expressed her interest in main eventing WrestleMania 41 with Charlotte Flair. If Flair makes a timely return, the chances of that match happening are higher than ever.
Here’s wishing Charlotte Flair a speedy recovery and hoping she returns to the ring and breaks her father’s record.
