During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day announced that they would challenge The Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championship on next week’s Raw.

As the road to WWE Bad Blood heats up, The Judgment Day is embroiled in a heated rivalry with their former members Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Will they lose their focus while defending their tag team titles against the veteran team of Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods?

Has WWE Scrapped The New Day Break-Up?

WWE has been teasing The New Day’s potential break-up over the past few weeks. However, it appears Odyssey Jones’ firing might’ve forced WWE to change their plans.

During the backstage segment on this week’s Raw, Xavier Woods mentioned the New Day’s 10th anniversary. It was in November 2014 that Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E debuted The New Day faction.

The group achieved tremendous feats throughout their time together and won several championships. After Big E suffered a career-threatening neck injury in 2022, Woods and Kingston continued to work as a tag team.

However, WWE started building up a heel turn for Xavier Woods, but it appears Woods and Kingston might stick together. However, things could change, and the company might revert to the original plan depending on next week’s outcome.

Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods Have The Advantage In The Match

As hard as it is to believe, despite The Judgment Day having the numbers in their favor, The New Day has the advantage in the title match.

The Judgment Day beat down their former partners, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, on this week’s Raw, which could come back to haunt them next week, as The Terror Twins might cost them the title.

If Woods & Kingston win the titles next week, it would be Kingston’s 15th tag team title on the main roster and Woods’ 12th. Will they succeed in dethroning Finn Balor & JD McDonagh?
