After finishing up his schedule in what was arguably the biggest WrestleMania season of all time, The Rock announced he would take a hiatus from WWE during his confrontation with Cody Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania.

With the rumors suggesting he could return in time for a potential match at SummerSlam or for a showdown with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, The Rock took to Instagram to let his fans know that he has his eyes set on next year’s WrestleMania event.

While addressing the fans in an Instagram post, The Rock heaped praises on his cousin Roman Reigns and his WrestleMania 40 opponents Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. He then stated that he’s looking forward to WrestleMania 41, which more or less confirms The Final Boss’ appearance for next year’s Showcase of the Immortals.

What’s Next For The Rock In WWE?

Following the segment of The Rock beating down Cody Rhodes on the March 25, 2024, episode of Raw, WWE made it feel like a match between Rhodes and The Rock is on the horizon somewhere down the road.

Dave Meltzer confirmed the speculations by stating the highly-anticipated match between The Rock and Roman Reigns could take place on WrestleMania 42 rather than next year. The statement made the fans wonder if The Rock would square off with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

Last week’s episode of SmackDown hinted towards a potential Bloodline Civil War storyline with Solo Sikoa taking charge by kicking out his brother Jimmy Uso and bringing in Tama Tonga as the newest addition to the group.

With Jacob Fatu also signing with the company with rumors of more Anoa’i family members like Lance Anoa’i and Zilla Fatu on their way to WWE, things certainly feel like WWE is indeed heading towards a potential Bloodline Civil War.

Tama Tonga confronted Paul Heyman in a backstage segment and claimed he did what he did on orders from the Tribal Chief. But Solo Sikoa not allowing Heyman to call Roman Reigns adds more fuel to the speculation that The Rock could be behind the new developments in The Bloodline.

These are fascinating times to be a wrestling fan, and as Triple H mentioned, The Bloodline storyline could get more engaging in the coming days.
