Whenever a larger-than-life super heavyweight wrestler makes his first few appearances on WWE television, the company’s go-to approach is to feed them enhancement talents in squash matches. Monday Night Raw’s new superstar, Odyssey Jones, competed in such a contest when he picked up a one-sided victory against a wrestler named Vincent Winey.

After making his first on-screen appearance on last week’s episode of Raw, Odyssey Jones made his in-ring debut last night and made quick work of Winey.

While Jones moved on to his storyline with The New Day and The Final Testament, wrestling fans were puzzled by the identity of his opponent. However, his name isn’t something new to the pro wrestling fraternity as Vincent Winey is the boyfriend of NXT Superstar Cora Jade.

Cora Jade was previously in a relationship with current Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker between 2022 and March 2024. Jade and Winey made their relationship public when the former posted a picture of them together on Instagram.

More Details About Vincent Winey

Last night wasn’t Vincent Winey’s first appearance in WWE, as he has competed in a few NXT live events over the past few months. Before making his pro wrestling debut, Winey was a college football player. He started his career in 2018 and played for teams like the Morehead State Eagles and the Ancona Dolphins as a linebacker.

Next Chapter In Odyssey Jones’ Storyline With The New Day

Defeating Vincent Winey in a squash match was just the start of Odyssey Jones’ Raw career as WWE has placed him in an interesting spot involving The New Day and The Final Testament.

It’s safe to assume that Karrion Kross has succeeded in getting inside Xavier Woods’ head. Woods has been showing signs of tension with Kofi Kingston in the past few weeks, and Odyssey Jones’ entry into the storyline seems to be the final straw.

Jones will team up with Kingston and Woods to take on Karrion Kross and The AOP on next week’s Raw, which could lead to the eventual break up of The New Day.
